Account Creation & Introducing Osmosis

Learn how to create student and user accounts, and use email templates to encourage platform adoption among your students.

If you’re an Osmosis institutional partner, we’ll provide paid Osmosis memberships for everyone covered under your contract. We create the accounts from user lists that you send to us; your students, faculty, and administrators can then activate their accounts by choosing a password on the Osmosis School Portal: https://www.osmosis.org/login?type=activate or by using your school SSO portal if you have opted to use this feature. (You can learn more about SSO here.)

To get started, for each cohort of students, faculty, and administrators, use this google sheet template to send us completed rosters.

Once we've created the accounts in our database, you can direct your users to the School Portal or we can do so by sending individualized emails from [email protected]. The first email that we can send looks like this:

A follow-up email detailing Osmosis features will then be sent out, which serves as a guide on how the students can get started:

Title: Study better with 1,600 engaging Osmosis videos

Description: This email will help your students better understand the Osmosis video library and the three levels of videos that it contains. It will also allow your students to understand which Osmosis videos will be most relevant to them, depending on if they are in their preclinical or clinical years.
